Success Stories - Nathaniel Davidson

Nathaniel Davidson was forced to learn his life lessons early. By the time he was five years old, Nathaniel had already lived in four different homes, with different family members. In several of these homes, Nathaniel encountered some element of drug abuse.

Almost always without supervision, Nathaniel got into trouble sometimes, but he always excelled academically. In the fourth grade, Nathaniel started playing football, which he credits for providing him with some structure and discipline. As he grew, Nathaniel’s coaches all said the same thing: he was a young man with great potential, but needed to straighten up and stay out of trouble.

During high school, Nathaniel’s life changed, thanks to a local minister who mentored him, helping Nathaniel steer clear of pitfalls that surrounded him. Thanks to the help of the pastor and the work that God did in his life, Nathaniel stopped his delinquent behavior and started considering a better future.

Nathaniel’s teachers and coaches now describe him as someone who continually performs above grade level, works hard with a positive attitude and leads by example.

Nathaniel plans to attend Fisk University and major in business and psychology. He hopes to become a family therapist and help families stay together.
